Fox Cancels The Good Guys →
Fox’s buddy-cop comedy The Good Guys has been discharged. Fox has canceled the show, opting not to renew the program for a second season. After a quiet debut without much marketing, the show was re-slotted in a weird time slot following a break. Basically it got jerked around more than I did in junior high school. Are you sad to see the show go?

NBC Is Copying American Idol, Many Years Too Late  →
Oh, NBC. Why, why, why? Who is in charge over there? Who keeps making these boneheaded decisions? What made you think it’d be a good idea to develop The Voice of America, a singing competition show that’s intended to rivalAmerican Idol? And as Idol’s clout continues to plummet, no less? We hear the show differs from the Idol format in that judges will have their backs to...

Whoa: NBC's 'Sing-Off' Surges | THR →
Aided by some weak competition, Sing-Off (9.4 million viewers, 3.3 preliminary adults 18-49 rating) abruptly gained 18% its second week to a series high, moving up from the ho-hum adult demo 2s into the hit-zone 3s. This is also NBC’s best non-Olympic performance in this slot in more than a year and gave NBC the highest-rated show last night that wasn’t a member of CBS’ elite comedy block.

Our New Year's Resolutions for Glee
1. Choose more songs that advance the plot. Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Blaine’s (Darren Criss) duet of “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” was the highlight of “A Very Glee Christmas”—and a rare example of performance matching plot. Their voices blended harmoniously, the chemistry between them was undeniable, and the simple choreography played to Kurt’s coy hesitance and Blaine’s flirty confidence. Of course,...

Well, Terriers is Officially a Goner →
Add FX’s Terriers to the list of shows that just couldn’t find an audience despite critical acclaim. The network has canceled the show after just one season. Some say it went against the FX brand, others say it was too subtle. I say it didn’t have enough zombies.

Oh, So Joss Passed on the Buffy Remake →
Joss Whedon won’t be working on Warner Bros.’ upcoming Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie remake/reboot, but apparently he could have. According to “studio insiders,” Whedon was approached about the new project, but passed on it to work on other things (like The Avengers). Just thought we’d clear the air, as previous news implied that he wasn’t invited to the party.
